More grants to support local groups awarded
Ware Town Council continue to provide grants to local groups and charities. We recently provided grants to CHIPS charity and Ware Joggers.
CHIPS are a registered charity offering play and social opportunities for children aged 3-19 and their siblings in East Herts, Broxbourne and Waltham Cross. The grant was used towards play schemes for local children such as their recent Easter play scheme where staff organised a party for the children to enjoy followed by an Easter Egg hunt. Parents were also invited to join in the fun. On another afternoon children were treated to a dance workshop, which was enjoyed by all.

Grant funding was also provided to support Ware Festival of Running, organised by Ware Joggers. The grant will help provide toilet facilities for participants and spectators. This much-loved community event will take place on Sunday, 6th July 2025, and includes a 10-mile, 10K, and children’s fun runs, attracting runners of all ages and abilities from across the region.
