Fun, flowers, and fitness: half-term highlights with Ware Town Council
Over the May half term, Ware Town Council organised two free activities for children. First was a planting session, hosted by volunteers from Ware in Bloom using seedlings propagated by The Priory groundskeeper, Andrew, and an action-packed day with local CIC Sporting Inspirations.
Despite wet weather, the Planting Session on Tuesday 27th was a great success, with 45 children in attendance potting on sunflowers and cherry tomatoes to take home and watch grow.
On Thursday 29th, a mixture of sports including badminton, volleyball, pop-up tennis, dodgeball and much more were on offer in Priory Park. All proved popular and over 50 children from a range of age groups attended on what proved to be a wonderfully sunny day!
